Account Executive
Responsibilities:
-
Play major role in creation of communications plans and goals, including development of key messages as well as tactical and strategic elements;

Demonstrate the ability to write, edit and proofread to create high quality internal and external, channel-appropriate communications content
-
Understand the role of his/her clients', possessing the ability to develop key messages and write short- and long-form content in their tone of voice
-
Proven ability to lead and manage multiple small or medium-sized projects simultaneously
-
Contributes to, and in some cases, oversees client correspondence and account management (e.g., daily updates, activity reports, etc.)
-
Possess strong media relations and industry knowledge, with an ability to cite relevant outlets and reporters and share insights with the wider team. This includes (though not limited to):
-
Fosters lasting relationships with reporters, producers, and bloggers on a local as well as national level.

Earn consistent earned media coverage both locally, nationally and in trades by demonstrating a persistence and willingness to find the right reporter and develop customize pitches that generate interest.

Assist with media monitoring for client placements while also sharing larger trends where clients may be fit for the coverage.

Take on writing projects, owning projects such as pitch plans and media alerts, as well as press release development, and press kit contents.

Responsible for crafting client-facing status updates, gathering feedback from team members and compiling thoughtful updates for clients and internal teams.

Develop and execute influencer marketing strategies and creative campaigns
-
Identify and build relationships with prominent influencers and thought leaders
-
Begin to take on a larger leadership role within accounts, making sure your voice is heard by the client on recurring calls and meetings.

Developing ideas and initial plans for clients and having a strong voice in team brainstorms by sharing thoughts, insights and ways to help client’s PR and marketing efforts.

Participate in and contribute to new business sales pitches

Share thoughts on how to better the agency, including recommendations on educational opportunities, new tools to add to the team, and cultural activities.

Foster a positive attitude, helping to create a constructive work environment.

What you have:

Two years of public relations experience preferably in an agency environment
-
Organized and detail-oriented; able to multitask various responsibilities and projects
-
Proactive and self-motivated; anticipate upcoming client projects and deliverables
-
Ability to think critically and demonstrate good judgment
-
Excellent interpersonal and verbal skills; professional phone and email communications
-
Innate desire to provide excellent service to clients
-
Excellent writing skills
-
Collaborative and team-oriented with a sense of urgency and curiosity
-
A strong work ethic and dedication to consistently provide quality work to his/her team and clients Research, outline, write, edit and proofread materials, including media and influencer pitches, press releases and online content

Strong interpersonal skills with the capability of interacting with clients and partner agency team members professionally with an eye towards building and maintaining strong relationships

Ability to perform well under pressure and be a team player
