Marketing to Millennial Moms: What Brands Need to Know
The number of mothers in the U.S. is sizeable — and includes multiple generations. Of the 43.5 million women in the U.S. who are mothers, many of them are Millennials.
In fact, 82% of U.S. births in 2016 were attributed to Millennial moms, and this demographic is growing fast.
While the Millennial generation is the largest demographic in the U.S., Millennial moms are fast emerging as the most important part of that larger group, with buying habits, philosophies, and consumption strategies that are changing the world of marketing for brands both large and small. Brands need to be smart in how they market to this demographic, who are having children later in life and in turn are more mature and experienced. They are also more educated and tech savvy than any generation before them.
