As a communications professional with 10+ years of experience driving results for leading brands, Megan has worked with startups and international organizations alike, developing and driving strategic communications initiatives with creativity, insights and relevancy at their core.
Megan spent four years at RXBAR, leading global communications for their rapidly-growing international house of brands. She was responsible for strategic planning and execution of all brand and corporate communications initiatives.
Overseeing the company’s voice, story and messaging, both internally and externally, Megan acted as a brand steward, protecting and enhancing RXBAR’s image. As the #9 RX employee, Megan built the Communications function from scratch, growing her team to oversee media relations, influencer engagement, events, brand partnerships, internal communications, corporate social responsibility and reputation management. Fostering the brand through its $600 million acquisition by Kellogg Company, Megan supported RXBAR’s exponential growth and transformation.
Prior to RXBAR, she spent five years at Olson Engage as a key agency member and account lead. Megan drove impactful communications initiatives for Fortune 500 clients including General Mills, MillerCoors, Fitbit and others.
Today Megan leverages data, trends and insights to consult both up-and-coming and established brands. As a true business partner, Megan drives breakthrough communications strategies and initiatives that build awareness, drive sales and strengthen brands’ competitive edge. From strategic positioning and narrative development, thought leadership and executive coaching, to issues management, media relations and partnerships, Megan engages key internal and external stakeholders to drive meaningful business results.
Megan holds degrees in Journalism and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, is a member of the Forbes Communication Council and was recognized as a finalist for PRWeek’s “Outstanding In-House Professional of the Year” award in March 2019.
