9 times out of 10 when you see me with my headphones in I’m listening to a podcast. (Random tangent: I absolutely hate when I have my headphones in and unknown people try to talk to me. I usually just smile and nod, having no idea what the person has said. I’m pretty sure having headphones in is the universal sign for “don’t talk to me”.)
I’ve been listening to podcasts weekly since 2013 when Kid Fury and Crissle hit the scene with The Read. Since the inception of this podcast, many others have followed in their footsteps creating popular, relatable content in podcast form--much to my delight. I now have a constant rotation of podcasts for every day of the week.
Podcasts are a huge part of my life. They often articulate feelings that I would not otherwise know how to. They create conversations about topics that I am either already interested in or bring interesting topics to my awareness. I’m frequently sending episodes and specific clips to my friends and family to create dialogue over.
